Introducing QST!

Description:  90 minute presentation that provides parents and professionals with background on the research behind QST,  the fundamentals of how families use QST and outcomes that can be expected by committing to training and regular delivery of the massage at home.  The presentation is illustrated with extensive video from the QST Institute.  60 minutes is devoted to presentation, 30 minutes to Q&A.

Note:  This workshop is open to any interested audience members and is unlimited in number of participants.

Step One:  Select a date that allows for 4 weeks of advance publicity for the presentation to the community.

• We advise 4 weeks lead time to allow for you to market the presentation via your organization’s newsletter or website and/or social networking communities.
• Presentations are typically scheduled for a weeknight Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.  Other options are available by request.

Step Two:  Reserve the presentation venue.

• Venue specifications:  Space size is determined by anticipated audience size.    An auditorium works well for a larger crowd.   A classroom is fine for a smaller group.
• Technology requirements:  Projector to show powerpoint slides and video.  We use a PC but can bring an adapter if the technology is Mac-based.  A sound system supports delivery of the video.

Step Three:   Publicize the presentation.

• We will provide a presentation description and links to relevant materials to help with this.

Step Four:  Host the presentation.

• We will provide follow up information on room set up, etc in the week before the presentation.

Step Five: Follow-up.

• We offer a complimentary follow-up consultation with attending parents to answer questions they might have about attending training on providing QST to their child/ren.
